A Journey of Paws, Tails, Love and Passion…
Oh My Doodness!
Hi, I’m Amanda and in the early years of my adulthood I brought home the most amazing companion, a kitten that would eventually never leave my side and give me all the love a young woman could need. Her name was Tasha, and she was a Himalayan cat.
I decided then that everyone would need a Himalayan in their life and before long, my brother Jeremy had his first Himalayan kitten as well. After many conversations about breeding Tasha, we decided to partner together. We ventured into the world of breeding Persian and Himalayan cats and started learning the color and point genetics. It was fascinating and rewarding be able to provide many homes with stunning colors, traits, and a strong history of CFA registered healthy parents.
Fast forward to 2005 when my husband Lamont and I fell in love with a friends’ Goldendoodle and we couldn’t resist, we had to have one too! Finding a breeder that we felt was outstanding meant we would travel 10 hours one way to Wisconsin from Michigan to bring our little Bella home! If you have ever had a goldendoodle, you will understand what we mean when we say Bella was different than any other breed of dog we had ever met! As any family with a GD will tell you, it’s only a matter of time before you want another, and so we traveled to Wisconsin again 10 months later to bring home Sophia, another bundle of love and mischief into our home.
Our Goldendoodles taught us the true essence of resilience and trust. This experience solidified our resolve; that somewhere in our future we would breed Goldendoodles and Persian and Himalayan’s no more! We wanted to breed dogs that would embody loyalty, kindness, and a loving spirit - puppies that could bring joy and companionship to families who needed them.
In 2019, we started our second goldendoodle family and began to delve deeper into the world of dogs, and started to discover the art and science of breeding. Learning about genetics, health testing, and responsible breeding practices. We were captivated by the idea of not just creating beautiful puppies but contributing to the health and longevity of the breed. It became clear to us that breeding was not merely about profit or popularity; it was a commitment to enhancing the lives of both dogs and their future families.
Speaking of families, a prior partnership was coming together once again as my brother Jeremy learned more about our passion for breeding.
Hi, I am Jeremy! My love for Goldendoodles began on a crisp autumn morning, the kind of day where the sun peeks through the colored leaves, casting a warm glow on everything it touches. As I made my way to my sister’s house just before the sun broke the horizon, I was excited to meet her dog Pumpkin’s tiny puppies born just a couple hours earlier. I was enveloped by the joyful beauty that was her first litter of Goldendoodles.
Among them was the tiniest little girl that immediately stole my heart. She fit easily in the palm of my hand, her fur shimmering like sunlight on water. I couldn’t help but smile as I held this itty bitty four-ounce girl that would represent pure love, trust, and companionship. This little girl, Brooklyn, grew from the smallest of her seven litter mates to being the second largest.
Having had Cocker Spaniels for many years, it almost felt like a betrayal of the breed I loved so deeply to feel this way. Brooklyn started showing me everything a Goldendoodle had to share and helped me learn all that she would be expecting from me... best decision I ever made! Seeing the joy my sister was providing to new families, a new passion was sparked within me.
Thus, we continue together on breeding path, and our ultimate mission has come together driven by a passion to create not just dogs, but lifelong companions. We envisioned a world where every puppy we brought into this world would find a loving home, where they could thrive and share their unique spirit with humans who would cherish them. We have spent countless hours researching, networking with veterinarians and experienced breeders, and attending workshops to hone our skills.
Every litter we welcome into the world becomes a celebration of life, and each puppy’s journey to their forever home fills our hearts with joy. The smiles on the faces of families meeting their new furry friends for the first time reminded me of why we chose this path. We were creating connections—between dogs and humans, and within families. Every puppy we raise will be filled with our profound love, passion, and respect for the incredible beings that Goldendoodles are. Each day, we strive to be better, to learn more, and to ensure that every puppy we breed becomes a cherished member of a family, ready to spread happiness and unconditional love.
